Story 1 in the Aree Series
Trista is a recluse who’s only memories of Aree were thought to be the dreams she painted on canvas. Until the night a powerful Vampire Lord, Balthasarr saved her from a fiend named Nicu. How could she know that Balthasarr had awaited her birth, that he had loved her before she was born?
Marked by him, loved by him, she becomes the subject of a feud between the Vampire and her High Lord brother, a Mage named Arthalon, who was also looking for her in hopes of saving her from their old enemy Nicu.
Pulled into Aree she is stunned to discover who she truly is, yet overwhelmed by the powerful Balthasarr’s insistence they are destined and bound.
She flees Aree, back to the mortal world, but the scales are gone from her eyes and heart, still, haunted by both her lover and the land. When the force becomes too strong, and Nicu decides to destroy her brother, the High Lord, and all that is in Aree, can she answer Balthasarr’s summons, and though unproved, armed at his side, fight Nicu and his minions.
